Divider Rail? Split Tilt or Not?

Split tilt or divider rails enhance the function by providing additional light and privacy zones.  A divider rail also strengthens the panel and is recommended with heights over 72".  However, the option is totally yours.  Sometimes the clean look of no break is preferred.  Other times the divider rail and it's function is desired.

Precision Spacing:

If you get a divider rail, make sure you have Precision Spacing. Note the shutter below from a competitor has the window sash completely visible below the divider rail.  Not only is the sash unattractive it appears that shutter wasn't custom and it blocks view (obviously important here).  One of the purposes of a divider rail is to hide the sash.
